Philip Shannon was born and raised in the Florida Keys.   He began his career working under the direction of the previous long-standing electrical contracting firm known as "Reef Custom Electric".

Philip worked his way up through the ranks earning his journeyman's license first and then earned his certification as a Master Electrician in 2004.

He later received certification in Vantage Lighting Controls, a state-of-the-art Home Automation system.  


In May 2006, Philip purchased the company and relocated the shop to the beautiful Overseas Highway in Tavernier, Florida.  

In the short time that Philip has owned and operated Custom Electric, he and his staff have earned an excellent reputation among the local building contractors, as well as many resident customers in the area.   It is his mission to maintain that reputation by providing "above and beyond" customer service.
